8/7 (Friday) – St. Mawes, Cornwall

Today was our last full day in Cornwall and we decided to just take it easy.  We walked up the hill past one of the churches and continued all the way to the top of the hill, looking for the second.  Never found it.  But there were some very good views of the harbor from the hills.

We then toured the very few shops in the “down town”.  There were a couple of galleries.  One in particular has some great pictures of the town, harbor and area.  Gave us something to strive for in our photography hobby.

We then took a walk along the harbor and watched the boats and boaters.  It was calm and restful.

The seashore really is a lovely place for a relaxing vacation and St. Mawes is so quaint and picturesque.

We enjoyed have a room facing the harbor with great views of the harbor and all the activities on the ferry dock.
View from our room
We finished the day with a great dinner at the restaurant at The Idle Rock.  The hotel and restaurant face the harbor with great views of the comings and goings of the boats.
